Forest Bathing is a fast growing wellness trend, practiced all over the world. While the modern version of Forest Bathing emerged in Japan in the 1980’s as a response to high levels of stress from overwork, it has long been practiced by indigenous communities globally, including here in Australia.
Forest bathing and forest therapy (or shinrin-yoku) broadly means taking in, through all of one’s senses, the forest or bush atmosphere. Not simply a walk in the woods, it is the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the natural environment.
Your Forest Bathing guide will take you through a series of activities that ensure you are connecting to nature through all of your senses.
About your guide
Christie has a background as a Holistic Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Nature Connection Guide. Spending time in nature both personally and professionally, Christie offers 90min - 3 hour sessions depending on your needs in a natural environment close to the resort. Your Forest Bathing experience will take you through a series of activities that invite you to connect to nature through all of your senses where you will have the opportunity for quiet reflection as well as a space to share your experiences throughout the session.More Information
